The RITZ - The Palm Court

The Ritz hotel brooks little introduction and is world famous. One of the finest hotels’s on the globe,
it is located at Piccadilly, a short distance from Green Park station and surrounded by boutique shops
and Royal Parks. The Ritz boasts of an impressive posthumous clientele including Charlie Chaplin,
Sir Winston Churchill, General De Gaulle and others; beckoning both native British and tourists
alike to indulge in an exquisite after-noon tea.

Afternoon tea at the Ritz is a refined affair and is served in Palm Court, which in itself has an arresting majestic façade and décor. The staff is pleasant and friendly without being intrusive. The Ritz offers
a choice of 17 varieties of tea, accompanied by a delicious menu comprising of delectable goodies
encompassing freshly cut sandwiches, smoked salmon, chicken, cucumber, roast ham,
cheddar cheese fillings and egg mayonnaise.

The tea is served in compelling china and silver ware by immaculate waiters and the ambient elegance
is further enhanced through musical accompaniment by resident pianist Ian Gomes, whose
renditions of classical favorites delight and add to the chic atmosphere.

Hours of Operation

Available at 11.30am, 1.30PM, 3.30PM, 5.30PM and 7.30PM, 7 days a week.
Each sitting lasts 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Booking in advance is strongly recommended, particularly at weekends.
Tables may need to be reserved at least 12 weeks in advance.

Dress Code

Befitting the elegant style of The Ritz, please note that the Ritz observes a
formal dress code in the public areas of the Hotel. With the exception of breakfast,
gentlemen are required to wear a jacket and tie in The Ritz Restaurant,
The Palm Court and The Rivoli Bar. Jeans and sport shoes are not permitted in these areas.

Dietary requirements

The Ritz is pleased to cater to several dietary requirements. Please state such
requirements/preferences, if any, when booking. Please note that for
some dietary requirements, The Ritz will require advance notice. Regrettably Afternoon
Tea at The Ritz is not suitable for those suffering from nut allergies.
